西甲前3轮，尼古拉-佩佩代表比利亚雷亚尔出场3次，打入2球并送出1次助攻，帮助球队取得了2胜1平的出色战绩。
最终经过评选，尼古拉-佩佩击败亚马尔(2球2助)、姆巴佩(3球)、尼科-威廉斯(1球1助)和佩雷-米利亚(2球)，当选西甲官方8月最佳球员。
