1990年4月，慈溪至乍浦的气垫船客运试航成功，将慈溪至上海路程缩短200多公里。慈乍客运航线作为中国第一条全垫升气垫船客运航线，1999年被中国大百科全书出版社编入《365个第一次——共和国50年珍贵图录》。
