欧盟委员会9月5日宣布对谷歌处以29.5亿欧元反垄断罚款，称其利润丰厚的广告技术业务存在反竞争行为。欧盟委员会表示，谷歌偏向于自己的在线显示技术服务，损害了竞争对手和在线出版商的利益，并且自2014年至今一直在滥用其市场力量。欧盟委员会要求谷歌停止这种自我偏好行为，并采取措施消除其固有的利益冲突。该公司有60天的时间告知欧盟委员会其计划如何遵守该命令。
