今天是七月十四，也就是梧州民间传说的“鬼节”了，在外地，很多人都称之为中元节，其实中元节是七月十五，但在广西，尤其太平，一般都习惯提前一天过，也就是在农历七月十四过，因此，直呼"七月十四"成为了大多数太平人的通俗叫法！
今天，太平人会杀鸡汤鸭。
