The First China-Africa Human Rights Seminar was held on August 22 in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia.The event brought together more than 200 participants from China and over 40 African countries, including government officials, experts, scholars, and representatives from social organizations, enterprises, think tanks, and media.
The seminar was co-hosted by the China Society for Human Rights Studies, Zhejiang Normal University, and the Ethiopian Policy Studies Institute. It was established as a regular dialogue platform to implement the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) Beijing Action Plan (2025–2027) and to deepen exchanges and cooperation on human rights between China and African countries.
