8月25日，邢台市纪委监委发布消息，内丘县委常委、政法委书记王铁塔涉嫌严重违纪违法，目前正接受邢台市纪委监委纪律审查和监察调查。
公开简历显示，王铁塔出生于1971年3月，河北省保定市易县人，在公安系统工作多年。
2020年1月，王铁塔调任邢台市内丘县副县长、县公安局党委书记、局长，2024年4月转任内丘县委常委、政法委书记。
