南京大屠杀期间，时任南京安全区国际委员会委员的美国牧师约翰·马吉秘密使用一台16毫米的摄影机进行了记录，这是目前所知记录南京大屠杀的唯一动态影像。这是人民日报记者从这部影像里看到的1937年冬天的南京。
