The 15th China International Animation Copyright Fair (ACTIF) kicked off on August 8 and will be running until August 11, 2025, in Dongguan, Guangdong. Covering a total exhibition area of 26,400 square meters, the event brings together over 600 enterprises and institutions from more than 40 countries and regions, with over 2,000 IPs on display, the most in the history of the fair.
This year's ACTIF also highlights the Chinese animation industry's critical role in cultural storytelling, a mission passionately championed by American animation director Dalton Grant Jr., who pointed out that China's rich culture extends far beyond Kung Fu and the things that the world knows as staples, with "a billion stories to tell from all walks of life." He believes it rests with storytellers like him to show more aspects of China to the world.
