8月7日，据海南省林业局消息，继5月发现新物种自然保护地壁虎后，研究人员近日在万宁大洲岛国家级海洋生态自然保护区又发现了新的壁虎属物种——刘氏壁虎。迄今，海南已记录到中国壁虎、蹼趾壁虎、海南壁虎、自然保护地壁虎、刘氏壁虎共5种已知的壁虎属物种。
