历史学家许倬云8月4日去世。其出身无锡士绅家族，晚年曾多次表示希望归葬家乡，与父母同眠。 其家族不乏知名人士，许倬云曾在访谈中称：“王力宏是我大姐的孙子，音乐细胞遗传了他妈妈家的。” 他直言许家没有音乐细胞，不过又提到演唱《龙的传人》的李建复，“李建复也是我们许家的，他是我二姐的儿子”。
