7月24日，民政部、全国老龄办发布《2024 年度国家老龄事业发展公报》。
公报显示，截至 2024 年末，全国 60 周岁及以上老年人口31031万人，占总人口的 22.0%；全国 65 周岁及以上老年人口22023万人，占总人口的 15.6%。全国 65 周岁及以上老年人口抚养比22.8%。全国人均预期寿命达 79.0 岁。
