20日，香港天文台发布消息称，台风“韦帕”正逐渐远离香港，香港风力逐步减弱，16时10分改发八号烈风或暴风信号。
不过，“韦帕”为香港带来频密狂风大骤雨，天文台呼吁市民继续保持高度警觉。
此外，香港天文台在15时45分发出红色暴雨警告信号。红色暴雨警告信号表示香港广泛地区已经或预料会有每小时雨量超过50毫米的大雨，且雨势可能持续。（总台记者 金东 周伟琪）
