7月9日下午，据北京青年报记者肖赧的报道，昨天缺席训练的曹永竞已经回到了训练场。
肖赧写道：缺席昨天训练的曹永竞今儿参加训练！之前因膝伤接受治疗来着。下一场能上！
此前，曹永竞没有在与韩国队的比赛里出场，在更早的训练里，他一度被安排客串过边后卫，然后又回到了自己熟悉的位置。
根据赛程，7月12日，中国队将对阵日本队。
