7月7日，山东青岛。一网友发视频称，自己离家两天，家里的活珠子孵化出了小鸡。当事人姜女士说，这是上周二朋友给自己送的活珠子生蛋。看到小鸡后，姜女士和家人给小鸡喂水做食物，后续又成功孵化出很多只：“可能是近日青岛温度较高，活珠子才孵出小鸡”。
