在世预赛18强赛阶段的10场比赛中，久保建英在9场比赛中有出场，贡献3球6助攻，场均可以制造1球，而他只在客场对阵印度尼西亚的比赛中轮休，当时他坐在替补席没有出场。
目前，24岁的久保建英德转身价3000万欧元，在世预赛18强赛最后一轮比赛中，久保建英还首发并担任队长。
