6月22日下午4时许，武汉连续几天的降雨终于停歇，三镇空气清新、温度适宜。西边的天际线上露出了一线红光，阳光几度透过厚厚的云层把光芒洒向三镇。
气象部门称，自6月18日湖北梅雨期第一场雨起，降雨已席卷我省多日，从6月23日开始，雨水渐止，全省转为阴天到多云天气为主。
