6月15日，“航旅纵横”数据显示，奥凯航空BK2931（长沙-湛江）航班于14:27从长沙黄花国际机场起飞，14:45挂出7700紧急代码，14:55返航至长沙黄花国际机场，19:00再次起飞。执飞BK2931航班的是波音737-9KF，机龄7年9个月。 据现代快报，经与湖南长沙黄花国际机场核实，确有此事，航班起飞后机组监测到故障提示，随后返航。目前，事件的详细原因仍在调查中，初步怀疑是机械故障所致。
