彭博社记者马克・古尔曼透露，John Giannandrea已逐渐淡出苹果公司核心管理层，甚至其可能在不久后“离开苹果公司”。
他于 2018 年加入苹果，在 AI 方面的理念也与其他高层存在明显分歧，在苹果智能项目推进缓慢、关键功能未能按时交付后，他于近期遭到“降职”。
John Giannandrea在去年WWDC公开亮相并接受了媒体采访。但在今年的WWDC25中，并未现身。
