6月8日，经济学家郎咸平发文为韦东奕发声，他表示：韦东奕是个天才，但看了照片，我却有点担心，这么年轻，才33岁，身体状态却不是很好，上面感觉牙缺了一半，也比较浮肿，应该是营养不良，这和他经常只吃馒头和水有关。
世界上天才很少，他们会获得很多的关注，但我们更应该关心他们的身体。
