《教团：1886》创意总监Ru Weerasuriya近期接受采访时谈到了被取消的续作，该作原本计划加入更大规模的战斗以及多人游戏。
Weerasuriya透露，《教团：1886》原本计划推出两部续作，分别为《教团：1891》和《教团：1899》。他表示，如果能够开发出完整的三部曲，他就能规划出整个系列剧情的发展方向。
《教团：1886》于2015年发售，Metacritic评分仅为63分。开发商Ready at Dawn创始人Andrea Pessino也曾透露，如果索尼批准开发，续作原本预计在2018年左右推出。
