5月26日，随着最后一根索股的成功架设，燕矶长江大桥顺利完成主缆架设，为后续钢桁梁吊装、主桥合龙等关键节点奠定了坚实基础。
据介绍，燕矶长江大桥是世界最大跨度四主缆悬索桥，项目全长约26千米，主跨1860米，上层为高速公路，设计时速100公里，下层为城市快速路，设计时速80公里。（央视新闻）
