北京时间5月25日，名记罗马诺宣布滕哈格将出任勒沃库森主教练，双方签约两年。
罗马诺表示：“埃里克-滕哈格将于周一签约成为勒沃库森新任主教练。这位前曼联主帅的合同为期两年，至2027年6月，他被勒沃库森列为优先考虑对象。独家消息已确认，后续将采取正式措施。”
