5月21日，2025东京军警防务展览会上，由日本、英国和意大利联合推进的“全球作战空中计划”（GCAP）首次公开其下一代战斗机模型。
日本下一代战机被定位为“六代机”，重视高性能传感器、隐形性和网络化作战，旨在超越美国F-22和F-35隐形战机。
此次展出的模型长2米、宽1.5米，设计重心更偏向续航里程、速度和有效载荷，目标是争取在2035年前投入使用。
