当地时间5月22日，日本航空自卫队方面发布消息称，5月14日一架自卫队T-4教练机在日本爱知县犬山市坠毁，机上2人已确认死亡。
当地时间14日，一架日本航空自卫队练习机在爱知县犬山市附近飞行过程中，从雷达上消失。日本内阁官房长官林芳正当天证实，日本航空自卫队的一架T-4教练机从位于爱知县的日本航空自卫队小牧基地起飞后不久坠毁。（央视新闻）
