赛后，赵心童经纪公司“Vic Snooker Academy”更新社媒，发布了马克-威廉姆斯用拳头“击打”赵心童脸部的照片，并写道：“马克表现得不错”。
赵心童以外卡身份连胜九轮夺得本届斯诺克世锦赛冠军，并成为首位夺得世界冠军的中国选手以及亚洲选手。
