据广州日报报道，云溪植物园官方账号5月4日发布消息，植物园科研团队近日在睡莲专类展示园内，发现双色睡莲变异植株。
经初步鉴定，其黄橙双色嵌合现象的自然发生概率不足万分之一，堪称植物基因学研究的“活体标本”。
据悉，目前这株双色睡莲正处于最佳观赏期。但花期短暂，仅有5月4日—5月6日72小时，每天9:00—11:30睡莲完全绽放，此时姿态最美。（潮新闻）
