这是霍勒迪第二次获得该奖项奖，他在2020-21赛季效力雄鹿队时也曾获得该奖。
该奖项的奖杯以NBA名人堂成员乔·杜马斯命名，旨在表彰在球场上最能体现运动精神的球员。
霍勒迪本赛季常规赛为凯尔特人出战62场，场均能得到11.1分4.3板3.9助的数据。
