2025年4月23日，中共中央政治局委员、外交部长王毅和阿塞拜疆外交部长巴伊拉莫夫分别代表两国政府，签署《中华人民共和国政府和阿塞拜疆共和国政府关于互免持普通护照公民签证的协定》。协定将在两国政府履行必要程序后正式生效。
