伊朗外交部当地时间3月31日发布声明说，针对美国总统特朗普的言论，伊朗方面已经召见了代理美国事务的瑞士驻伊朗大使，表达了伊朗“坚决、果断”应对任何威胁的决心。
美国与伊朗1980年断绝外交关系，至今没有复交。美国在伊朗事务由瑞士驻伊朗大使馆代理。
