除了外壳材质的变化外，新的Apple Watch SE还可能会配备新的芯片组。预计苹果将采用旗舰S11芯片，为所有Apple Watch SE买家带来性能和效率的提升。
此外，苹果可能还会选择为Apple Watch SE 3增加一些新的健康功能。较新的Apple Watch型号已经具备睡眠呼吸暂停检测、心电图读取器和血氧传感器等功能，而这些功能在目前的Apple Watch SE上都不具备。苹果可能会考虑将这些功能部分或全部带到其最便宜的智能手表上，以吸引更多消费者。
