住房城乡建设部副部长姜万荣在国务院政策例行吹风会上表示，2024年，全国实施城中村改造项目1863个，惠及居民136.7万户，建设筹集安置房189.4万套，起到了消除安全隐患、改善居住条件和生态环境、推动城市高质量发展等积极作用，实现了一举多得。
