2月6日下午，广州市番禺区华南碧桂园小区附近的一处空地发生火情。周边居民拍摄的图片显示，现场黑烟滚滚，有车辆被烧。
记者从番禺区宣传部门获悉，6日下午约17时13分，南村镇华南碧桂园会所西北面约150米的空地发生一起火情，明火于17时30分许被扑灭，主要燃烧物为塑料板及废弃小车，现场无人员伤亡。目前，具体起火原因待核查。
