位于熊本县球磨郡汤前町濑户口的八胜寺阿弥陀堂以其中世纪寺院建筑的古老样式获得广泛的高度评价，于2002年被认定为国家重要文化财产。
堂内安置着1490年制作的被认定为熊本县重要文化财产的木制如来像及其两侧的胁侍像。
