1月3日，美国政府医疗总监（Surgeon General）默西（Vivek Murthy）在一份报告中称，酒精饮品应张贴警示标签，表明存在引发癌症的风险。默西表示，美国每年有大约10万例癌症病例和2万例癌症死亡病例由饮酒引起，无论何种种类，饮酒都会增加至少七种癌症的风险，包括乳腺癌、结直肠癌、食道癌、肝癌、口腔癌、咽喉癌和声带癌。
欧洲酒类板块股票闻讯下滑，人头马君度下跌4.3%，保乐力加跌2%，帝亚吉欧下跌2.4%，百威英博下跌1.9%。美国盘前方面，Constellation Brands跌1.6%，Molson Coors跌1%，Brown-Forman跌0.9%。
