据北京昌平官微消息，12月16日上午，中共北京市昌平区委常委会召开扩大会议，宣布中共北京市委决定：刘晓东同志任中共北京市昌平区委员会副书记。
据北京组工网消息，中共北京市委组织部12月4日发布任前公示通告。其中：刘晓东，男，汉族，1980年7月生，在职研究生，教育博士，中共党员，现任中共北京市昌平区委常委、区政府副区长，拟提名为区政府区长人选。
