Chinese classical literature scholar Ye Jiaying, known as the "Daughter of Poetry”, passed away in Tianjin on Nov 24th at age 100. She dedicated her life to studying Chinese classical poetry and cultivating talents. Ye built a distinctive poetic system, and established scholarships to promote classical literature. Even in her later years, she continued to guide doctoral students, hoping the younger generation would carry on the tradition of poetry.
