10月28日消息，试图在开发人工智能方面跟上OpenAI的步伐，Meta正在开发一个搜索引擎，该搜索引擎可以爬行网络，为使用其Meta AI聊天机器人的用户提供有关时事的对话答案。据一位曾与该搜索引擎团队交流过的人士称，Meta希望通过这种方式降低对谷歌搜索和微软必应的依赖，目前这两家公司为使用Mete AI的用户提供新闻、体育和股票方面的信息。（The Information）
