在省委、省政府的坚强领导下，经各方共同努力争取，10月15日，国铁集团会同省政府正式批复新建兰州至张掖三四线铁路武威至张掖段全线初步设计。兰张三四线铁路武张段初设阶段共历时120余天，刷新了全省铁路项目前期工作“新速度”，金昌高铁开工建设正式进入倒计时。
