自当地时间9月26日起，尼泊尔出现持续降雨，并引发洪水和泥石流等自然灾害。
据该国警方统计，自当地时间9月27日至10月3日8时，此轮持续降雨已造成233人死亡，仍有25人失踪，另有159人受伤。
10月2日，中国驻尼泊尔大使陈松向尼泊尔内政部长莱卡克转交中国红十字会向尼泊尔红十字会提供的紧急抗洪救灾援助。莱卡克代表尼政府和人民衷心感谢中方援助。（央视新闻）
