据中国野生动物保护协会消息，中芬双方经友好协商，从优先保障大熊猫健康和福祉的角度出发，共同决定提前将旅芬大熊猫华豹金宝宝于年内接返回国。
2018年12月，中芬双方启动大熊猫保护研究合作项目。合作期间，双方不仅建立了良好的合作关系和友谊，并在大熊猫饲养管理、技术交流、公众教育及增进两国人民友谊等方面取得了积极成果。
