为确保两只大熊猫安全顺利回国，中国方面选派了经验丰富的专家提前赴奥地利参与饲养护理，熟悉掌握两只大熊猫的生活习性和饲养情况，并协助奥方专家共同开展行为训练、日常体检和健康评估等工作。
