在Giant Bomb的最新一期Game Mess Mornings播客节目中，知名爆料人、游戏记者Jeff Grubb透露称，索尼新一期State of Play直播将于9月下旬开启，具体来说可能是12天之后，也就是9月24日（国内时差可能为9月25日），Jeff Grubb在8月份就透露过相关消息。不过目前索尼将在该发布会上展示什么还不得而知，可能会公布一些与PS5 Pro有关的游戏内容。
此外，还有一位爆料人John Harker也透露了类似的信息，John Harker在此前成功爆料PS5 Pro的发布信息，他表示“Royal”是索尼本月底某项活动的代号，很有可能就是新一期的State of Play。
