On the left side, the contours of distant mountains are sketched with minimal brushstrokes, reminiscent of the “lofty mountains and upright conduct” described in theBook of Songs. This light ink technique emphasizes the essence rather than the form, presenting a Zen quality that transcends the mundane. The mist swirling between the mountains seems to convey the profundity of “The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao,” guiding viewers into a spiritual realm beyond reality.

This style draws from the Zhuangzi philosophy of “Water benefits all things and does not contend,” symbolizing the ceaseless flow and transformation of life. The intermingling of red, yellow, and blue, akin to the “peach trees in bloom” described in the Book of Songs, is full of life and hope. This approach emphasizes color contrast and the movement of brushstrokes, allowing viewers to feel the vitality and rhythm of nature.
