上海协和国际｜新生视角：开学第一周是这样的……

上海协和国际外籍人员子女学校（Concordia）创建于1998年，是由中国教育部和上海市教委批准办学的外籍人员子女学校，获得美国西部院校协会WASC全面认证，为在沪的3至18岁外籍学生提供高水准的美式课程教育。

学校教学设施先进，旨在为学生提供全人教育的成长环境，并充分考虑各学段学生的发展需求。除针对不同教学目的而设计的教室和学习空间，还有图书馆、合唱和乐队排练室、艺术工作室、剧院等，教育教学设施一应俱全。

Concordia 2024-2025学年正式开启了，本文以新生的视角，来解锁开学第一周，看看都有哪些新鲜事！

融入新环境

“我觉得我已经融入这里了！”这是新生报到日这天，新同学Tiger的心声。和他一样，许多新加入Concordia的小伙伴们在学生大使的引导下，穿梭在校园的每个角落，感受着热情的欢迎、温暖的微笑。满满的归属感！

课堂，也可以很有趣

谁说历史很枯燥？在初中的Social Studies课上，同学们不是死记硬背各种历史年代或名词术语，而是通过分享自己身边的珍贵物件和它们的故事，领悟历史研究的方法和技巧。

再来到高中，Applied Learning Social Entrepreneurship（社会创业-应用学习）课上，同学们直接学起了咖啡制作，简直不要太酷！每一颗咖啡豆都来自云南哈尼族，同学们和当地咖农合作，在Concordia进行咖啡的制作、包装、营销，帮助咖农提升销量改善生活。这不仅是学习，更是践行社会服务！

ECA时光：放学也爱待在学校

随着新学年的开启，第一季的ECA课外拓展活动也如火如荼地展开，从幼儿园到高中，同学们尽情享受课外探索的乐趣，挖掘自己的兴趣和潜能。

健康成长，每一天！

在Concordia，每天都有营养均衡的午餐和充分的体育运动时间！茁壮成长不在话下！

高中生们更是积极参加校队选拔，为第一季的竞技赛事做准备。

The 2024-2025 School Year at Concordia has officially begun. Let’s take a fresh look at the first week of school through the eyes of a new student and see what all the excitement’s about.

Settling into a New Environment

“I feel like I belong here!” says new student Tiger on Orientation Day. Sharing his excitement, a group of new Concordia students are being guided on a tour of campus by our Student Ambassadors. From each corridor and classroom they pass, they’re greeted with warm welcomes and friendly smiles. A strong sense of community is everywhere!

Making Classes Meaningful

Boring history? Not here! In our middle school Social Studies classes, it’s not about memorizing dates and facts but about sharing family artifacts and their stories, and experiencing true joy of history through hands-on experiences.

Fast forward to high school, and the Applied Learning Social Entrepreneurship class, where the action is. Students are brewing coffee with a purpose! Each bean tells a story, directly from the Hani tribe in Yunnan. By collaborating with local farmers, our students are branding and selling coffee right here at Concordia, supporting both sales and communities. It’s learning with a heart for service!

After-School ECA Hour

With the new school year comes a fresh lineup of ECAs. From early years to high school, the campus is buzzing with activities that ignite our students’ passions and foster exploration.

Health & Wellbeing Every Day

At school, we keep healthy with balanced meals and an active lifestyle! Strength and growth are part of our daily routine.

Also, our high school athletes are gearing up for sports tryouts, preparing to put their skills on full display.
