伊朗伊斯兰革命卫队总司令萨拉米8月5日在德黑兰一场集会活动上发表讲话称，“当受到（伊朗的）坚定回应时，以色列将意识到自己犯下了何等大错。”萨拉米说，“以色列总是错估形势，这次（暗杀哈马斯领导人哈尼亚）又是犯下了同样的错误，以色列将为此再次尝受（伊朗的）惩罚。”
