据香港特区政府新闻公报，香港警方于6月至7月的2024年欧洲国家杯举行期间，进行代号为“戈壁”及“风盾”的大型反非法赌博行动。警方主要从执法及教育两方面着手，打击“收受赌注”（俗称“外围”）及其他非法赌博活动，共拘捕735人，并检获超过6.92亿港元的投注纪录及超过250万港元的现金及财物。
