据外媒tech4gamers报道，日前参加IGN Live 2024时，前PlayStation负责人Shawn Layden表示，主机大战该结束了，单一平台才应该是所有游戏的“家”。
Shawn Layden以微软和索尼为例，指出二者的差异变得不是那么明显了。他表示：“如果只有一种主机，并摆脱这种平台战争，我们将处于一个更好的世界。”
此前接受采访时，Shawn Layden也曾谴责近些年游戏界大幅裁员和关闭工作室的现象，并呼吁给新工作室一些成长机会。
