根据美国地质调查局消息，美国东部时间4月5日17时59分左右，美国新泽西州格拉德斯通（Gladstone）西南部发生初步震级为4级的余震。
据美国地质调查局消息，当地时间4月5日10时23分，美国东海岸发生4.8级地震，震中距离纽约市大约60公里，震源深度约5公里。宾夕法尼亚州、新泽西州、纽约州、康涅狄格州均有震感。随后新泽西州至少发生了10次余震，但大多数震级都在1.8至2.2级范围内。（总台记者 赵淼）
