1月13日，中国男足在亚洲杯首战对阵塔吉克斯坦，球员张琳芃首发出战，这是他连续第四次出战亚洲杯。
张琳芃在2011年开始就征战亚洲杯，他出场了2011、2015、2019和本届亚洲杯，是继李明（1992、1996、2000和2004）之后，第二位连续出战四届亚洲杯的中国球员。
此外，郑智也在4届亚洲杯里有出场，分别是2004、2011、2015和2019年。
