巴黎官方宣布，扎伊尔-埃梅里脚踝中度扭伤，将伤缺至冬歇期（12月21日-次年1月10日左右）。
埃梅里在法国与直布罗陀的比赛中被对手铲伤，因此提前离开了国家队返回巴黎，不过当时初步检查没有骨折，巴黎官方对他的检查结果也确认了他的伤情是扭伤。
埃梅里本赛季在巴黎表现出色，并且受到了法国队主教练德尚的关注，这是他首次入选法国国家队。
